You probably have the following question on your mind: “How can I find out who my car insurance provider is?” find out how in the blog below
First Stop: The Vehicle Licence
This should be incredibly easy to find out if you have your vehicle licence or insurance policy to hand. But since you are asking this question, that is probably not the case! If all you have is a vehicle licence that should cover it, as the name of the insurance provider; and even the policy number; would be written on it.
Contact the RTA
However, if you don’t have access to the mentioned documents, that’s fine, you can still acquire the information you need. You only need to make a quick phone call to the RTA, provide them with the vehicle plate number, and request to be provided with the insurance information. Of course, they may ask you a couple of questions to verify you are the owner of the vehicle in accordance with the implemented data protection regulations.
Reach out to your insurance provider
Once you have the name of your insurance provider and the policy number, you can reach out to the insurance provider and ask them to share with you a copy of your insurance policy. Once you receive it, we recommend you review the covers you have to make sure you are adequately protected and that the insurance you have continues to suit your needs. Always better to be “safe than sorry!”
