WHAT DOES EVENT INSURANCE COVER?
Cover will of course vary depending on the type of policy you select, but if we consider a comprehensive event insurance policy that combines event liability and cancellation covers, your policy will typically cover:
Liability Insurance covers you for any third party property damage and/or bodily injury to attendees or guests of your event caused as a result of your proven negligence, as well as associated legal defence costs.
Property Insurance provides cover for loss or damage to furniture, equipment, stands, stock and samples used during the event, and can be extended to include whilst in transit to & from the event too.
Cancellation insurance provides cover for reimbursement of costs incurred as a result of our event being unable to proceed due to an unforeseen & unavoidable event such as storm, flood, fire or theft of key items (like exhibits) that were essential to the event.
WHAT IS NOT COVERED UNDER YOUR EVENT INSURANCE?
Whilst event insurance policies seek to protect you as much as possible, some scenarios may not be covered. Typical examples include:
Any non-appearance claims for any person that isn’t specified in the policy might be denied by your insurer.
Any claims for bodily injury or disability in which the affected party was proved to be under the influence of intoxicating drugs.
