UNDERSTANDING JET SKIS INSURANCE

Jet Skis are a type of Personal Water Craft (PWC) and very popular in the UAE among water sports enthusiasts. The Federal Transport Authority – Land and Maritime Dept requires all PWCs to be registered and part of the registration requirements include purchasing an insurance cover.

ALL PWCS (PERSONAL WATER CRAFT) MUST CARRY AN INSURANCE COVERING

Liability Insurance for a minimum amount of AED 200,000. This would cover the owner against claims from third parties for causing injury, death or property damage in the course of using the Jet skis.

Personal Accident Benefit to the Driver and the Passenger for an amount of AED 200,000 each.

Cover for a minimum period of 13 months.
