Role Purpose: Drive profitable growth in General Insurance (with emphasis on Medical and Motor) by acquiring new customers and partners, expanding existing accounts, and delivering a best-in-class, compliant customer journey.

Key Responsibilities

  • Brand and Culture
    • Act as a professional brand ambassador for InsuranceMarket.ae, consistently demonstrating our values and a winning, growth-oriented mindset.
  • Prospecting and Pipeline
    • Identify and source new clients across general lines, with a focus on Medical and Motor. Build a strong, qualified pipeline and maintain an active prospect list in the CRM.
    • Log every interaction and activity in CRM with complete, accurate records.
  • Sales and Closing
    • Create and progress opportunities from first contact to bind; map stakeholders to influence and secure RFPs; uncover pain points and collaborate with internal teams to propose the best-fit solution.
    • Negotiate terms, close deals, and meet monthly and quarterly targets while ensuring a seamless, team-based customer journey.
  • Client Management and Retention
    • Deliver “Customer First” service at every touchpoint; handle inquiries and resolve policy, claims, and renewal issues promptly and professionally.
    • Retain and grow accounts by identifying evolving needs, cross-selling/upselling, and keeping clients informed of product or regulatory changes.
  • Renewals and Cross-sell
    • Own the renewal cycle for assigned portfolios; proactively secure on-time renewals and broaden cover to improve protection and retention.
  • Senior BDM Add-ons
    • Handle complex/multi-line deals, mentor junior BDMs, and contribute to quarterly territory/partner plans.

Success Metrics (KPIs)

  • New Business: GWP, policies bound, conversion rate (lead-to-quote-to-bind), average premium.
  • Portfolio: renewal retention, cross-sell/upsell ratio, NPS/CX feedback.
  • Activity: qualified meetings, proposals/RFPs influenced, quote TAT, CRM data completeness.
  • Compliance: complete documentation and zero critical audit findings.

Success Metrics (KPIs)

  • Experience: BDM 1–4 years; Sr BDM 5–8+ years in insurance/broker/aggregator or adjacent financial services in the UAE, with evidence of target achievement.
  • Skills: consultative selling, stakeholder mapping, negotiation, objection handling, and disciplined pipeline management; strong communication in English (Arabic a plus).
  • Tools: CRM proficiency and comfort with digital lead workflows; MS Office/Google Workspace.
  • Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree preferred; valid UAE driving license preferred; eligibility to work in the UAE.
