What is the ADCB TouchPoints?

ADCB, which stands for Abu Dhabi Commercial Bank, wants to make sure its customers know just how much they value them. That’s why they came up with the TouchPoints Rewards Program! It’s a special program that’s different from what other banks offer. In fact, it’s the very first Bank Wide Rewards Program of its kind in the region!

So, what makes this program so special? You get rewarded ADCB Conventional and Shari’ah Compliant products and services for everyday banking with ADCB. That means you can earn rewards across almost all their products and services. For example, if you use an ADCB Credit Card or Debit Card to make purchases, you’ll earn TouchPoints. If you save money with ADCB or get a loan from them, you’ll earn TouchPoints, too. Even if you do online banking with ADCB, you can earn TouchPoints!

Now, what can you do with these TouchPoints? Well, you can redeem them for vouchers that you can use at fancy stores and places that ADCB partners with.

ADCB TouchPoints Relationship

A TouchPoints Relationship refers to the different ADCB Products and Services that allow you to earn TouchPoints. Each of these products and services is considered a TouchPoints Relationship. Applying for and using the products and services mentioned in the conventional products above is easy.

Let’s say you have an ADCB Current Account, an ADCB Debit Card, an ADCB Platinum Credit Card, and a Mortgage Loan under the same customer ID. In this case, you would have four TouchPoints Relationships with ADCB. Each of these relationships gives you the opportunity to earn TouchPoints.

To earn more TouchPoints, all you have to do is continue adding more products and using a variety of ADCB services that fall under the “TouchPoints Relationship” category. By expanding your range of ADCB products and utilising more of their services, you’ll have the opportunity to accumulate even more TouchPoints.

What is a TouchPoints Account?

The “TouchPoints Account” is a special account created for each customer, where all your touchpoints are stored and accumulated.

Whenever you participate in activities that earn TouchPoints through different TouchPoints Relationships, those earned TouchPoints are automatically added to your TouchPoints Account. This account acts as a central hub where all your earned TouchPoints, bonus TouchPoints, adjusted TouchPoints, redeemed TouchPoints, and expired TouchPoints are collectively reflected.

In simpler terms, it’s like a virtual piggy bank where all your TouchPoints are kept. So, they go into this account whenever you earn TouchPoints from using ADCB products and services. Similarly, when you redeem TouchPoints for rewards or if any adjustments or bonus points are applied, those changes are reflected in your TouchPoints Account.

How to Earn TouchPoints

You can earn TouchPoints from the “TouchPoints Relationship”, and you can also earn bonus TouchPoints during promotions. Make sure to check the ADCB TouchPoints Earning Table here.

Using ADCB Credit Card

When using your ADCB Credit Card, you’ll accumulate TouchPoints for each Dirham spent on eligible purchases. The more you utilise your card, the more TouchPoints you’ll earn, providing greater redemption opportunities. It’s important to note that certain transactions are not eligible for earning TouchPoints.

These include cash advances, fees, charges, interest, balance transfers, credit card loans, insurance premiums or payments, foreign currency purchases, utility bill payments exceeding the earning limit, disputed transactions, erroneous transactions, and unauthorized/fraudulent transactions and payments.

Using an ADCB Debit Card

When using your ADCB Debit Card, you’ll earn higher TouchPoints for eligible purchases made outside the U.A.E. Whether you’re shopping locally or internationally, using your ADCB Debit Card will help you accumulate more TouchPoints. The same transactions are not eligible for earning TouchPoints, as mentioned above.

Using Current and/or Savings Account

The more you maintain an average monthly balance in your Current and/or Savings Account, the higher the number of TouchPoints you will earn. TouchPoints are earned based on the average monthly balance you maintain across your current and savings accounts associated with the same customer ID.

Excellency customers can also benefit from the TouchPoints program based on their account balances. It’s important to note that all current and savings accounts held under the same customer ID are treated as a single account and are subject to minimum qualifying criteria and point accrual limits.

Opening Fixed Deposits

Fixed Deposits offer you the advantage of earning both interest and TouchPoints. Upon maturity of the Fixed Deposit Amount for the chosen tenure, you will earn TouchPoints.

It’s important to note that all deposits held under the same customer ID will be subject to minimum qualifying criteria and point accrual limits. This means you can enjoy the benefits of earning TouchPoints and the interest on your Fixed Deposit.

Taking Out  Personal, Smart, Car, or Mortgage Loan

When you take out a Personal, Smart, Car, or Mortgage Loan, you have the opportunity to earn TouchPoints. TouchPoints are earned based on the disbursed loan amount. It’s important to note that the TouchPoints will be credited to your TouchPoints Account after at least thirty (30) days from the account activation, provided that the account remains active and in good standing during that period.

The exact number of TouchPoints credited to your TouchPoints Account will be subject to minimum qualifying criteria and TouchPoints accrual limits. This means that the amount of TouchPoints you earn will depend on certain criteria and limits set by the program.

Subscribing to Insurance Products Distributed by ADCB i.e Bancassurance

With Bancassurance a collaborative agreement was established between an ADCB and an insurance company, enabling them to market and distribute its products to the ADCB’s existing customer network. TouchPoints are earned once the insurance company approves your Insurance product and you have fulfilled the requirement of paying the first premium as per the terms and conditions.

Using the Electronic Channels (ADCB@ctive Personal Internet Banking, ADCB Mobile, IVR 600 50 2030)

TouchPoints are earned on the first-time registration to ADCB@ctive Personal Internet Banking, ADCB Mobile, and when registering for a Telephone Personal Identification Number (TPIN) on the IVR. Additionally, TouchPoints can be earned when making a utility bill payment (per payment) or an external funds transfer.

However, it’s important to note that TouchPoints are subject to qualifying criteria and limits for accrual. Please be aware that no TouchPoints will be earned for funds transfers made between ADCB accounts.
